In this day tour, not only will you get up close and personal with the pandas, but you will also get to help in the efforts done for their conservation.You will travel to Chengdu and head to the Dujiangyan Panda Base, a new giant panda breeding base that puts in conservation efforts to maintain the number of the endangered Giant pandas. They have started volunteer programs that give you an opportunity to help out the pandas and learn more about them at the same time. Some of the activities that you will engage in as a volunteer include cleaning the panda enclosures, feeding the pandas, and learning about their lives. You will also take a tour of the panda base, watch a film about the animals, and even make panda cakes. If you donate to the conservation efforts, there is even a chance for you to hold a panda cub in your arms. At the end of the tour, you will also receive a certificate thanking you for your volunteer work in the panda conservation efforts.
